Coalition military forces say they have destroyed six IS (Islamic State) rigs near Raqqah as efforts to against the terrorist group continue.
The International Coalition for Operation Inherent Resolve (CJTF-OIR) said four strikes were carried out in Syria using aircraft.
Meanwhile Iraqi collation military forces conducted 10 strikes coordinated with support from the Iraqi government’s support using rocket artillery and attack, fighter and remotely piloted aircraft.
The CJTF-OIR said a strike near Raqqah in Syria destroyed six ISIS workover rigs while near Al Hasakah, two strikes struck two separate tactical units and destroyed an ISIS fighting position.
Last month, a new report estimated earnings of the group were about $80million a month.
The IHS findings estimated around half of the revenue as coming from taxation and confiscation while 43% is thought to come from the production and sale of oil.
