Norwegian operator DNO said it has received receipt of $21.45million from the Kurdistan Regional Government for exports from the Tawke field.
The company said the move comes after a new payment arrangement was announced earlier this month.
The payment is to be shared on a pro-rata basis between DNO and its partner Genel Energy.
It includes $17.9million toward the monthly entitlement for January exports and $34.6million towards the recovery of outstanding entitlements for past deliveries.
Tawke deliveries for export in January averaged 119,390 barrels per day.
