A North Sea helicopter has made a safe return to Aberdeen after an emergency was declared.
The Bristow helicopter had been making its way offshore when it is understood an alarm was raised.
The flight made a safe return to Aberdeen Airport at around 9.28am.
A spokeswoman said: “Bristow Helicopters Ltd can confirm that one of its Airbus EC225 helicopters requested priority landing at Aberdeen Airport today, Tuesday 15 March, due to heavy fog whilst returning to base after a cockpit warning light displayed.
“The helicopter landed safely at approximately 0928 hrs with 18 passengers and two crew on-board. On arrival back at Aberdeen Airport the passengers were debriefed by the crew and given the opportunity to ask any questions.
“As usual, the aircraft will undergo a full engineering investigation to establish the cause of warning light and maintenance actions will be carried out if required.”
