ExxonMobil is said to be in talks to take a sizeable stake in Eni’s acreage off Mozambique, according to reports.
The oil and gas company is understood to be taking a 15% slice in the asset.
It comes after Eni previously said it wanted to get rid of some of its interest in the Rovuma basin play.
Eni said in mid-March that it was looking to dispose of $7.9 billio worth of assets by 2019.
