A drillship which has been laid up in Venezuela since last year has now been sold.
The Deepsea Metro II finished a contract in May last year with the original cost of the drillship placed at NOK7.3billion.
Chalfont Shipping LTD will buy the drillship in a $210million deal.
The drillshop is owned by Chloe Marine Corporation, a company owned by Deep Sea Metro Ltd, which is a joint venture between Metro Exploration with 60% and Odfjell Drilling with a 40% share.
Odfjell Drilling is the manager of the vessel.
