Investigators have visited oil major Shell’s headquarters in the Hague in relation to a Nigerian offshore oil field.
According to reports, the visit was in relation to operating licence 245 which has been at the centre of a long-standing disputes with thr Federal Government of Nigeria.
A spokesman for the company said: “Representative of the Dutch Financial Intelligence and Investigation Service and the Dutch Public Prosecutor recently visited Shell at its headquarters.”
Shell is said to be cooperating with the authorities and is looking into the allegations which have been made.
