Repairs to the helideck of the Gudrun platform have been made after cracks were uncovered in the substructure earlier this year.
Statoil awarded Aker Solutions a contract which was estimated to be worth around $9.4million after the discovery was made in 2015.
According to reports, the first helicopter is expected to land on the newly fixed helideck tomorrow.
In the past year helicopters have been forced to land on the drilling rig West Epsilon which is linked to the Statoil platform with a footbridge.
The problem was discovered in March last year when “popping noises” were heard from the helideck during a take-off.
