Well services specialist Archer has secured a five-year contract with ConocoPhillips to provide mechanical wireline services in Norway.
Archer won the contract – the value of which has not been disclosed – following a competitive tender process.
The Norwegian firm has provided wireline intervention and cased hole logging services for ConocoPhillips since 2009 and the current contract would have expired in January 2017.
The new contract will begin on May 1, 2016 and will cover a period of five years until April 30, 2021.
Archer’s wireline vice president Jan Vader said: “We are extremely pleased with the confidence ConocoPhillips places in Archer by giving us the opportunity to continue to work for them for an additional five years.”
