Energy service company Corex is at the top of a Scottish league table of intellectual property (IP).
The firm, which is ranked second overall in the UK, was deemed to have outshone other Scots firms across categories covering patents, software, brand/reputaion, trade secrets and critical databases.
Corex, which provides specialist services primarily in the analysis of geological samples for the oil and gas industry, has an Aberdeen-based UK operation, as well as offices in Egypt, Libya, Kazakhstan and the United Arab Emirates.
Chairman Graham Robertson said: “We are delighted by this award, especially given the recent down turn in the oil and gas industry.

The IP100 league table is compiled annually by Metis Partners on behalf of Clydesdale Bank.
