It is believed the 13 people killed when the helicopter they were on crashed into the North Sea worked for seven different companies.
Aker Solutions has already confirmed four staff – three full-time employees and a contractor – died in the tragedy near Bergen, and it is believed Halliburton also lost four employees.
It is now understood that one Schlumberger worker, and another from WellTec, also perished in the crash, which has been described as one of the most serious incidents in the history of the Norwegian oil industry.
Statoil – whose vice-president described the crash as a “terrible tragedy – is also believed to have lost one employee.
