Statoil’s chief executive will visit the Gullfaks B platform today and meet with colleagues of those who died in a North Sea helicopter crash.
Eldar Saetre met with relatives of those killed at a hotel in Bergen at the weekend where family members were being supported.
There were 13 people on board the Super Puma EC225 flight returning from the North Sea to Flesland Aorport on Friday when the incident happened just after noon.
Norwegian police have released the names of eight of the victims.
Production on the Gullfaks B platform had been temporarily halted on Friday as colleagues of those involved in the crash were given time to grieve.
But at the request of staff, production resumed yesterday, Statoil confirmed.
Saetre will meet with staff along with Statoil executive vice president Arne Sigve Nylund.
A moments silence will be held at 1pm Norwegian time by Statoil employees across the company’s headquarters.
