ConocoPhillips has until May 10 to report on how it will address non-conformity and improvements on its Ekofisk and Eldfisk fields identified during an audit by Norwegian authorities.
Norway’s Petroleum Safety Authority carried an the audit of the management of major accident and working environment risk at the interfaces between ConocoPhillips, drilling contractor Archer and the drilling and well services companies.
The audit also looked at how contractors are exercising their responsibility for managing safety and the working environment within the framework established between the operator and contractor.
The audit identified one non-conformity in connection with pressure control equipment.
Five improvement points were identified in connection with safety representative service at Eldfidsk B; labelling of equipment; training and drills; communication between land and sea; and drilling mud handling.
