The next Scottish Government should work with industry to develop a clear framework for further investment in renewable energy, according to a boss of ScottishPower.
Keith Anderson, the company’s chief corporate office, told delegates those elected to power tomorrow would need to work alongside Westminster in finding “common ground” for the sector.
All-Energy is the UK’s largest renewable energy exhibition taking place over two days at Glasgow’s SECC.
Anderson said “more flexibility” was also needed from Westminster with regards to onshore wind.
He also a rallying call for action on energy storage.
It comes after 50,000 megawatt hours of electricity was shut down from wind farms over the UK’s easter weekend.
He said the world simply “does not have enough capacity” to store electricity.
