A contract worker at a chemical plant in Texas has died after being injured last month.
The man had been employed at a Chevron Phillips Chemical plant in Baytown when he was injured in an accident at the Cedar Bayou construction site on April 23.
Following his death, Chevron Phillips released a statement confirming he had passed away on May 6th.
A spokesman said:”Chevron Phillips Chemical Company LP (Chevron Phillips Chemical) can confirm that an employee of a contractor working on its US Gulf Coast Petrochemicals Project passed away on the evening of May 6 following hospitalization for injuries sustained at the Cedar Bayou construction site on April 23.
“The contractor’s employee was transported from the company’s Cedar Bayou construction site to an area hospital and later transferred to a Houston trauma center where he had undergone a series of procedures. We express our deepest sympathies to his family and friends during this difficult time. Our thoughts are with his loved ones.”
