BP has been given a number of improvement points focused on emergency preparedness on its Tambar facility including physical fitness of helideck personnel.
The Norwegian Petroleum Safety Authority (PSA) said other areas of improvement were also found in handling of rescue of injured person from cranes, change in the use of emergency preparedness vessel and training of emergency preparedness staff.
The oil major has been given until June 20th to respond to how the improvement points will be addressed.
The Tambar oil field is operated by BP and is around 16kilometres southeast of the Ula field.
BP has applied for operating life extension for Tambar until January 1st 2022.
Earlier today Shell was awarded approval for the use of the Island Constructor on the Draugen field in the North Sea.
