Norwegian power company BKK said it will reduce its headcount by up to 150 positions by 2020.
According to reports the move is being taken in response to lower renewable energy prices.
Chief executive Jannicke Hilland said forecasts predicted a “lower for longer” price adding that while the “green shift” offered new opportunities, the company must ensure “effective operations” to be sustainable in the future.
Hilland added that there would be greater focus on cost in hydropower generation.
