Aggreko said it has been selected to enter contract negotiations to provide in excess of 100MW of diesel-fuelled power in Brazil.
It will provide multiple communities in the Amzonas in a contract lasting 15 years.
The company said it will be responsible for fuel supply and contract delivery with the contract expected to commence next year.
Aggreko said it expects the contracting process to commence shortly.
Nicolas Fournier, managing director of Aggreko Power Solutions, said:”We are pleased to have been selected to negotiate with Amazonas Energia. Our abilities to deploy our equipment in remote areas of the Amazon region, along with the fuel efficiency of our diesel engines, were critical to this competitive tender process. We look forward to discussions with Amazonas Energia to conclude contract negotiations and providing power where it is critically required.”
