Oil major BP has completed 70% of its work on the Khazzan gas field.
The company said the completion rate in the works to develop its reservoir and infrastructure project had exceeded more than two thirds by the end of May.
BP Oman chairman Yousef bin Monhammed al-Ojaili said the first consignment of gas from the Khazzan reservoir project is expected to be delivered to the pipeline network by November next year.
The Oman Oil Company Exploration and Production owns 40% of the project, while BP Oman owns 60%.
The Khazzan oil and gas field is one of the largest non-traditional narrow reservoir gas projects in the Middle East.
