Dea has gained an extension of its deadline to submit a development plan for the Zidane project in the Norwegian North Sea.
It comes after a bid by the company to extend its August 2 deadline was rejected by the Petroleum and Energy Ministry.
The government body had also warned Dea the licence may be pulled unless it met its target date.
According to reports in Norwegian media, the government body has now given the company a reprieve.
A spokesman said the partnership in the production licence was now “working well” on the plan for both development as well as operation.
