Chevron today named Greta Lydecker as the news managing director of Chevron Upstream Europe.
The newly appointed leader, who replaces Craig May, will be based in Aberdeen.
May has left the post to be Chevron’s vice president of Upstream Capability in Houston.
Lydecker made the move from Bakersfield, California, where she held the position of vice president of Chevron’s San Joaquin Valley Business Unit.
“I am delighted to be joining Chevron Upstream Europe in Aberdeen. Under Craig’s leadership Chevron has delivered leading performance during a period of profound change in the UK North Sea and a challenging environment across the industry. I look forward to continuing that work, through our commitment to safe and reliable operations, and ensuring that we maintain our strong relationships with key stakeholders in the region,” said Lydecker.
The geologist joined Chevron’s ranks in 1982.
She received her B.S in Geology from Allegheny College and M.S. in Geophysics from Boston College.
In the UK, Chevron has working interests in 10 offshore producing fields, including three operated fields – Alba, Captain and Erskine – and seven non-operated fields.
Chevron’s net daily production in 2015 from these fields averaged 40,000 barrels of liquids and 115 million cubic feet of natural gas.
