Azerbaijan has produced more than 21million tonnes of oil in the first six months of the year, according to new data.
Figures released from the State Statistics Committee said it was also the first rise since May last year.
Natural gas output increased to 14.9billion cubic metres (bcm) from 14.6bcm.
Azerbaijan also expected to produce 41million tonnes of oil this year and 29bcm of gas.
Planned maintenance by BP in May and November last year on its Azeri, Chirag and Guneshli (ACG) oilfields led to falling output.
Last year, a total of 41.7million tonnes of crude oil and condensate was produced, down 0.8% from 2014.
