A man has died while working on a Statoil shipbuilding project.
A South Korean worker died after he fell off scaffolding at the world’s biggest shipbuilder Hyundai Heavy Industries yesterday.
The tragedy unfolded at 2.20pm.
The 39-year-old, who sustained injuries to his face, neck, arms and legs, was taken to hospital but later succumbed to his injuries, according to the Korean Herald.
It is the eighth fatality this year for Hyundai Heavy Industries and its subsidiaries.
The workplace death comes just days after workers voted for a partial strike in bid to stop plans for up to 1,000 job losses.
