NorSea Group has said up to 100 jobs are set to go in Norway.
The move will affect positions in Stavanger and Kristiansund, the company said.
The firm’s chief executive John Stangeland said the number of hired and temporary staff had already been reduced.
The job losses are expected to take place over the next few months.
Stangeland said an increasing number of rigs had been laid up while a number of projects are also on hold.
