Jose Capita was today named as one the men who died after the helicopter he was on crashed, according to Tenaris.
Local authorities in Angola said Capita died as result of Monday’s helicopter accident.
The helicopter was on route to a Chevron operated Tombua-Landana offshore facility from the terminal in Angola’s Cabinda when the tragedy unfolded.
The 38-year-old is survived by his three children. The Angolan citizen and the remains of three others were recovered at the scene of the crash. A search effort continues for two more missing individuals.
Earlier this week, a Tenaris spokesperson said: “We regret to inform that a Tenaris field service specialist was reportedly onboard a helicopter which crashed en route to a Chevron oil platform off the coast of Angola.”
Capita worked as a field specialist for the firm.
The helicopter was operated by Heli-Malongo.
