IHI has cut jobs at its Houston energy engineering and construction subsidiary this week.
The move comes after fewer than 100 of IHI E&C’s roughly 400 Houston-area workers were made redundant.
It’s understood workers were let go based on employee evaluations.
In a memo to staff, IHI E&C President Glyn Rodgers said workers were let go based on employee evaluations.
The company are expected to confirm the job losses have been impacted by the oil slump.
