Eni has held a naming ceremony for its Armada Olombendo floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel in Singapore.
The FPSO will operate in Block 15/, offshore Angola, for the East Hub Development project.
The vessel is expected to soon be ready to sail to its final destination where it will start mooring and hook-up operations.
According to Eni, the first oil from the development is planned for the first half of 2017.
The East Hub Development project is encompassed of nine subsea well of which five are producers and four are water injectors in water depth ranging between 450 and 550 metres.
Eni is the operator of Block 15/06 with a 36.84% stake. The other partners in the joint venture are Sonangol Pesquisa e Produção (36.84%) and SSI Fifteen Limited (26.32%).
