Royal IHC has signed a new contract with Maersk Oil for the engineering, procurement and construction of a tandem mooring and offloading system for a floating, storage and offloading (FSO) vessel on the Culzean project.
The offloading system will be placed on the FSO vessel on behalf of Sembcorp Integrated Yard in Singapore.
The vessel will be owned and operated by Maersk on the Culzean project in the North Sea which is located in Block 22/25a of the UK Continental shelf.
Joti Hakkert, executive director of mission equipment, said:“IHC is delighted to confirm this new contract with Sembcorp Integrated Yard for the supply of a new offloading system for use on an FSO vessel in the North Sea.
“This contract provides further evidence that IHC is firmly established as a reputable partner for the design and development of advanced equipment for the floating production market – and the offshore industry at large.”
The offloading system will consist of an offloading hose-reel assembly complete with offloading hose and an Outboard Hose Termination Piece (OHTP), a mooring hawser reel assembly complete with quick-release mechanism, a control cabin, an auxiliary pull-in winch, an actuated emergency shutdown valve and a hydraulic power unit.
The offloading system will be delivered in autumn 2017 ready for installation.
