Technopromexport said the Russian unit of Siemens was “impeding” shipping of some of its gas turbine equipment for a power plant in the south of the country.
According to reports, Siemens had said earlier this year its joint venture was making turbines for a plant on Russia’s Taman peninsula, which is separated from Crimea by a strait.
However, it was understood Russia was considering using Siemens turbines at power plants that Russia builds in Crimea.
The peninsula was annexed by Moscow in 2014.
