The Aberdeenshire-based managing director of Taqa’s European business is leaving the company.
Abu-Dhabi-headquartered Taqa said yesterday that Pete Jones would be replaced on an interim basis by Donald Taylor, who has held a number of senior roles since joining the company in 2009.
Mr Jones, from Fort William, joined Taqa from US firm Marathon Oil in 2013.
He was based at the company’s regional HQ in Westhill, near Aberdeen.
He said: “It has been a privilege to lead Taqa’s European business. The team has made great progress in improving safety, reliability and costs, especially in this challenging environment.
“I am confident that under Donald’s leadership the business will continue to build on its success, as it remains focused on safe, efficient and sustainable operations and development.”
Saeed Al Dhaheri, acting chief operating officer, said: “I would like to thank Pete for his contributions which included leading the successful integration of our European businesses into a single organisation with improved safety, reliability and a transformed cost base.”
