Noble Energy will reduce its headcount by up to 60 jobs.
The firm said the redundancies will mostly take place in Houston and reduce staffing levels in exploration and geoscience.
Last year the company cut 410 roles.
Both BP and Shell said earlier this week they would also be reducing positions in the US.
Between 50 and 80 roles will go from BP’s Whiting Refinery in Indiana.
Meanwhile, Shell has said it may close its finance operations office in Glasgow and consolidate its financial unit into a smaller number of offices.
Noble has said 70% of its upstream investment budget next year will go toward boosting drilling in the DJ Basin in Colorado, the Delaware Basin in West Texas and the Eagle Ford Shale in South Texas.
