Forth Ports has appointed a new recruit to focus on its oil and gas and decommissioning activity.
Gavin Booth has joined the firm as its new business development manager.
It comes after the port group created the new position against the background of a £10million quayside investment at the Port of Dundee.
Booth, who hails from Aberdeen, previously held positions with ATR Group, ACE Winches and JD Neuhaus.
He will be based in Aberdeen in a new office in the city and will work across the Scottish operations.
His main focus will be on the ports of Dundee, Leith and Rosyth.
Stuart Wallace, divisional director of Forth Ports, said: “We welcome Gavin to the Scottish team. He brings with him a wealth of experience and knowledge in the oil and gas support and decommissioning sector and has a strong track record in delivering results. We are a busy, dynamic business and Gavin will play a key part in delivering our business strategy going forward in this important sector.”
