Norwegian energy service firm Aker Solutions finalised the acquisition of 70% of Brazilian CSE Mecânica e Instrumentação today.
The agreement includes an option for Aker to buy the remaining 30% in three years’ time.
The deal will help Aker access to Brazil growing oilfield services market for servicing existing oil and gas fields.
CSE, which had revenue of BRL 322 million in 2015, provides maintenance, assembly, commissioning and crane operation services at offshore and onshore facilities.
