Aker BP has extended the charter of a vessel for its Ivar Aasen project in the Norwegian sector of the North Sea.
The company, created following a merger between BP’s Norwegian unit and Det norske oljeselskap, will have the Safe Zephyrus semi-submersible accommodation vessel through January 2017.
The 10 day option has a total value of about $1.7million.
The vessel belongs to Oslo-listed Prosafe, which is headquartered in Cyprus.
