Technip FMC has won a contract for work on the Coral South floating liquefied natural gas facility (FLNG) project offshore Mozambique.
The deal covers the engineering, procurement and construction of the facility.
It will also cover the installation,commissioning and start-up of the facilit, as well as the installation of the umbilicals and subsea equipment.
TechnicFMC’s chief executive Doug Pfederhirt said: “We are honoured to be the leader of the execution of this prestigious contract awarded by Eni and its partners to the TJS consortium.
“Combining TechnipFMC’s unique capabilities in both FLNG and Subsea, we have been able to propose to our client an optimum combination, demonstrating the strength of our integrated offering.”
The FLNG will be designed to produce 3.4 metric tonnes of liquefied natural gas per annum.
It will be moored in 2,000 metres of water depth in the Area 4, offshore Mozambique.
