Lundin Norway has been granted a drilling permit for its production licence off the coast of Norway.
The wellbore in PL 533 will be drilled from the ‘Leiv Eiriksson’ drilling facility, 20 kilometres west of the Alta discovery well in production licence 609.
Lundin was originally awarded the production licence in 2009 and is the operator of the licence with an ownership interest of 35%.
The licencees are Aker BP with 35% and DEA Norge with 30%.
