Aberdeen firm Augean North Sea Services (ANSS) made profits again during the first half of 2017 after losses of £300,000 a year ago, a trading update from the parent said yesterday.
Yorkshire-based waste management specialist Augean added its overall profits performance was broadly in line with last year.
The group has recently embarked on a cost reduction programme, which is expected to generate annual savings of around £2million from August.
Full year profits growth is expected, although the result is forecast to be at the lower end of market expectations.
Augean said ANSS “continued its good performance from the second half of 2016” and was back in the black this year.
A spokeswoman added there were job losses across the group but “this has not currently impacted ANSS which has continued its good performance.”
Results for the six months to June 30 will be posted on September 19.
