Well intervention specialist Reservoir Link has been awarded a contract to deliver annulus wash and cementing assurance (AWCA) equipment and services with oilfield services company Archer to ROC Oil in Southeast Asia.
The project, which is estimated to start later this year will see the two companies provide equipment and services for ROC Oil’s phase 2 drilling campaign offshore Malaysia, where wells will be plugged and abandoned for slot recovery.
The one-year contract – which comes with a one-year extension option – includes the provision of AWCA equipment and services, Tubing Conveyed Perforating (TCP) guns and charges, and associated services including planning and technical support.
“We are delighted to have been awarded this contract for ROC Oil,” said Dato’ Wan Hassan Mohd Jamil, chief executive for Reservoir Link.
“Our collaborative working relationship with Archer offers a reliable, integrated plug and abandonment (P&A) solution for the Asia Pacific market. We look forward to providing this cost-effective and technology-driven service to ROC Oil, enabling them to achieve their P&A objectives safely and efficiently.”
Hugo Idsøe, Archer vice president and managing director for Archer Oiltools, added: “In line with our mandate to deliver better wells, our technologies, such as Stronghold™, deliver faster and smarter P&A solutions, while minimising environmental impact.”
