The First Minister of Scotland, Nicola Sturgeon, will today take part in a high-level panel discussion on climate change to close the Global Climate Action event in Bonn, Germany.
She will be joined by a number of well known speakers and panel members within world politics, the environmental sector and charity sector.
Joining the First Minister in the panel will be Ashok-Alexander Sridharan, Mayor of Bonn, Fiza Farhan, Women’s Economic Empowerment (WEE), Manuel Pulgar-Vidal, head of climate change at WWF, and Frank Appel, CEO, DPDH, Jill Peeters, weather forecaster and moderator.
Today’s closing event has been billed by organisers as ‘a high-level closing ceremony’ which will look to ‘highlight the most relevant outcomes of the five days of activities at the Global Climate Action (GCA) events during the annual UN Climate Change Conference in Bonn’.
It is expected that Sturgeon is in attendance to discuss Scotland’s strong renewables focus and the Scottish Government’s new energy strategy.
