Aker BP has entered into two separate drilling and well pacts.
One of the agreements is with Maersk Drilling and Halliburton for jack-ups, and the other is with Odfjell Drilling and Halliburton for semi-submersibles.
The partners will plan and execute production and exploration drilling activities using an “integrated well delivery model”.
Halliburton will provide Aker BP’s well construction activities using either a Maersk jack-up rig or an Odfjell semi-sub.
The framework agreements are five years firm with the option to extend for five years.
Tommy Sigmundstad, SVP drilling and wells at Aker BP, said: “The drilling and wells alliances will further strengthen our ‘one team’ approach and enhance integration and productivity along the value chain.
“Strategic alliances with our suppliers in addition to the digitalisation strategy are key enablers to our improvement agenda.”
