Norway’s offshore safety watchdog has found issues with fire safety measures during an audit of a platform operated by ConocoPhillips.
The Petroleum Safety Authority carried out an inspection of the Eldfisk B installation off the coast of Norway between November 23 and December 14 last year.
It found a number of non-conformities in areas including testing of the firewater system and fire walls.
It also handed ConocoPhillips with an improvement point on its performance requirements for process shutdown valves.
The firm has until March 5 to report back on how the problems have been addressed.
Eldfisk B is a combined drilling wellhead and processing facility in the southern part of the Norwegian North Sea.
A spokesman for ConocoPhillips said: “we have received the PSA audit report, and will evaluate their findings and give our response back to PSA according to the procedures. We have no further comments.”
