Engineering firm Add Energy has won a contract with BP for maintenance build work on its Tangguh liquefied natural gas (LNG) project in Indonesia.
The work is being carried out in Aberdeen – Add’s engineering centre – along with the offices of its partner in the project, PT Synergy Engineering, in Jakarta.
The Tangguh expansion is aimed at adding 3.8 million tonnes extra per year in production capacity at the existing site, helping meet growing fuel demand in Indonesia.
Peter Adam, executive vice president of Add Energy “Since beginning our initial relationship with BP, we have become embedded in their way of working.
“As we continue to work with them across many projects, we have adopted their efficient management of documentation and data, as well as our own processes and procedures that in turn make the project development smoother and more streamlined to the end goal.”
