VIDEO: Casualty airlifted from North Sea oil rig

Aberdeen Coastguard Rescue Team was dispatched this afternoon to a medical emergency concerning a  North Sea oil rig worker.

The coastguard confirmed that the medivac was sent out at approximately 15:10pm this afternoon and attended to a casualty who was then taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.

The coastguard also confirmed that the oil rig was half an hour from the Aberdeen coastline.
