An event highlighting emerging opportunities in Saudi Arabia is being hosted in Aberdeen next month.
Energy services giant Wood will be taking part, along with the Saudi-British Joint Business Council (SBJBC) and the Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority (SAGIA).
Saudi Arabia is one of the largest producers and exporters of oil, and accounts for 25% of all Gross Domestic Product of the Arab world.
There are wide-scale diversification plans in place for the Saudi economy to move away from oil and gas, with large government investment incentives for a variety of industries.
Aberdeen-based Wood has been working with state-owned Saudi Aramco for over 30 years.
Wood’s vice president Keith Dagleish will share his experience and give advice for firms looking to trade in the country, covering exporting services available to the UK.
The SBJBC will focus on how to win and keep work in the country, outlining new opportunities as well as covering some cultural “misconceptions”.
Meanwhile the SAGIA will discuss the investment incentives being offered by the country.
The event is being hosted by the Aberdeen and Grampian Chamber of Commerce (AGCC) at the Palm Court Hotel on May 24th.
