Italian contractor Saipem has been awarded a pipeline project in the Middle East worth about $1.3 billion.
The contract involves engineering, procurement, construction and installation activities for two 32-inch export pipelines, two 24-inch corrosion-resistant alloy intrafield pipelines, risers, spool pieces and subsea structures also entailing a short onshore section and offshore brownfield topsides modifications.
Saipem did not disclose the identity of its client.
