The countdown is officially on to one of the most prestigious awards in the oil and gas industry.
With only seven weeks to go until the big day finalists for the Press and Journal’s Gold Awards have been filming a short video on the reasons why the should take home the gong.
All finalists were recorded over three days at Simmons and Company International offices in Aberdeen and the videos will be shown to all the guests at the event on Friday, September 7.
The aim of the films are to give the attendees an insight into what all companies and individuals shortlisted do and why they deserve to be finalists.
Two categories, which will highlight the best from the rest on the night will be the Industry Leader Award and The Hall of Fame Award.
Colette Cohen, chief executive of the Oil & Gas Technology Centre, Howard Johnson, managing director of Blaze Manufacturing Solutions and Steve Phimister, Vice
President Upstream director for the UK and Ireland at Shell will all battle it out to take home the Industry Leader title.
The winner of the Hall of Fame award, sponsored by Aberdeen Standard Investments will be announced on the night.
Past winners include professor Alex Kemp, Balmoral’s Jim Milne and Sir Ian Wood.
