NOV Elmar UK yesterday announced contract wins of £10million in the latest quarter.
The firm is a designer and manufacturer of wellhead pressure-control equipment based at Westhill, near Aberdeen.
The new contracts include the supply of eight 20-tonne TerraLift trucks to an oilfield service provider for operations in Algeria and Libya, in a deal worth about £1.5million.
Work has also been secured with Maersk to supply five NovaWinch units.
The latest contract is worth about £750,000 and follows two similar units purchased by Maersk last year.
Steve Smith, sales manager for NOV Elmar UK, said: “Having recently extended our facilities . . . we are on track to exceed our projected turnover of £40million for 2008 and are anticipating further growth in 2009.”
The Westhill workforce has now grown to 265 and a projected 25 extra staff will be needed by the end of 2009.
NOV Elmar UK is part of Houston-based National Oilwell Varco.
