PLEXUS Holdings said yesterday it had been awarded a two-year contract worth about £1.5million by oil operator Talisman.
The deal, which could earn more for Plexus because it has a further two-year option, involves the Aberdeen-based oil and gas engineering service business supplying its proprietary POS-GRIP wellhead and mudline-suspension equipment to Talisman in the Norwegian North Sea.
It will cover a series of exploration wells and generate revenue for Plexus from the fourth quarter of this year. Plexus chief executive Ben van Bilderbeek said: “As the fourth such contract signed during 2009, Talisman joins our ever-growing blue-chip client list, reinforcing our position as a leading oil and gas engineering service business internationally.”
