The new power plant is expected to provide electricity to more than 455,000 Entergy customers in 27 counties across Southeast Texas, according to McDermott.
Entergy operates more than 40 plants that use a variety of fuels including natural gas, nuclear, coal, oil and hydroelectric power with about 30,000 megawatts of electric generating capacity, according to the company’s website. The company provides electricity to 2.8 million customers in Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana and Mississippi.
