PLEXUS Holdings said yesterday it had won a £600,000 contract from oil and gas operator GDF Suez.
The Aberdeen engineering service business, which supplies wellhead and mudline suspension equipment for oil and gas exploration and production applications, said the contract involved supplying its proprietary POS-GRIP wellhead systems for exploration in the Mediterranean Sea offshore Egypt.
The contract, which may be extended, should see revenue for Plexus starting in October.
The deal continues a working relationship between the two companies which began in October 2007 when Plexus signed its first agreement with GDF Britain to supply wellhead systems for exploration in the North Sea.
The GDF Suez contract follows close on the heels of a recent £1.6million contract extension with BP Egypt.
