Offshore survival training firm Survivex has started offering interest-free finance packages to help workers pay for courses.
Aberdeen-based Survivex, which was acquired by 3T Energy Group in November, said the 0% finance option would enable clients to spread training costs over periods of up to three years.
AIS Training, also part of 3T Energy, has been laying on interest-free support since 2014.
At Survivex, the option will be available to help pay for any training course of £280 or more, subject to credit checks.
Gavin Taylor, group sales and marketing director at 3T Energy, said: “The 0% finance option is extremely popular amongst AIS Training’s existing self-funding delegates, particularly those who are retraining for new industries, so it made perfect sense to widen the availability of the scheme to include customers of Survivex.
“For those working in the global energy sector, many health and safety courses are mandatory, however the financial cost of this training can sometimes be a barrier.
“By enabling people to spread the cost of training without incurring additional costs, we will hopefully allow more people to have access to training and open up new job markets to them.
“It is an extremely easy online application process and people can find out in seconds if they are eligible.”
